New Orleans

Andrew was asked to conduct one piece for the Homeschool band's spring concert. Even more exciting than that was that the concert was in New Orleans and as his pay they were going to treat us to a day in New Orleans. We started in the WW II museum where the concert was. It was fascinating and I even learned a few things. Then we met the girls at the aquarium (Andrew's parents brought them down later). We had a blast with them! Allie loves doing things like that, but Anna Grace was finally at an age where she too could be excited about it. And excited she was. It was precious and hilarious to see her reactions to all the fish.

Some festival was going on while we were there and they were promoting a dinosaur exhibit. Allie was pretty scared of it, but kept wanting to go back. It did roar and move so it was kinda creepy.

We tried to get her to touch the sting rays, but she couldn't really do that, they swam by too fast. However, when it came to the "touch the shark" exhibit she went right for it. She touched him several times, practically fearless!

After the aquarium, the girls went back with his parents and Andrew and I were treated to a dinner cruise on the Natchez riverboat. It was such a great opportunity to spend some time together and relax.
