Tuscaloosa Trip

We had a fun filled visit to Tuscaloosa, AL last weekend! First of course there was trunk or treating, then we attended some of the Homecoming festivities at UA, tailgated, then went to the Birmingham Zoo, and celebrated Allie's birthday for the last time! Here are just a few highlights from our trip.

Uncle Charles!

Best seat in the house

This was Anna Grace's idea of a good tailgate...playing in the grass

At the Birmingham Zoo

At the zoo they had a Lorakeet exhibit where you could purchase nectar cups and walk inside the exhibit. The lorakeets would land on you and drink the nectar from your cup. They only landed on you if you had nectar, so Anna Grace and Allie were fine. Allie was a little afraid but didn't want to leave. Anna Grace was fearless, she was reaching out to touch them. Grandmother and Carolyn were the only ones brave enough to hold on to their nectar and let the birds come to them. It was such a cool experience, they are beautiful birds!

This was mine and Allie's cups, as you can see we chickened out

Train ride

We were not allowed to pass up the Carousel, I think Grandmother and Pi were a little dizzy afterwards though

Her last 3 year old birthday party......No more birthdays until December when we have a 1 year old!!!
