There aren't too many updates today. She's still on morphine, has a feeding tube, and requires oxygen. The oxygen is at it's lowest level and she does just fine without it. However, they don't want her to have to work too hard to breathe. Her fever has finally broken (hallelujah!) after almost a week of running a fever that peaked at 104.8. Dr. Thomas, the pulmonologist, has decided he's going to have to do another bronchoscopy. He's afraid there is either some swelling or scar tissue in her trachea/vocal chords that is keeping her from swallowing. He observed her for quite a long time today and could tell that when she swallowed saliva she was choking. Which could be why she refuses food and drink. Allie has hit her breaking point I think and honestly, so have we. I think even though she's had a good time with both sets of grandparents, that she's ready to be with Mommy, Daddy, and Anna Grace full time again. Of course, we are ready for that as well, so we're going to be working on some kind of alternating days system so she doesn't feel quite so abandoned by us. Anna Grace has had a hard day of replacing feeding tubes and IVs so she's resting right now and should sleep well through the night. Please pray that Andrew and I will gain patience and strength needed to get our family through this, that Allie will have understanding and peace, and of course for a quick healing and restful, boring days for Anna Grace.
