The Trip, part 1

Our big, week long trip around the Southeast began with a night in Tuscaloosa, AL . We woke up the next morning to drive the rest of the way to Knoxville, TN. Andrew was playing that night in the Alumni Pep Band. Since all the UT students that would normally play in the pep band for basketball games were on Christmas break, they gathered together a group of alumni willing to pick up their horns and play again. We met a few of our old college friends for dinner before the game. The boys went to the arena to pick up horns while Amy and I got the girls ready for the game. I don't think Andrew or Ben would have let their girls miss this. We had fantastic seats, just a few rows up from the court. The only problem with that was that meant we had to carry the girls up and down several steps, and with girls out numbering mommy's that was a little difficult. Towards the end of the game we moved to the section where the band was and Allie got to stand in the band with daddy for the last 5 minutes of the game. It was a lot of fun, and of course they won the game! After the game, our girls went home with Aunt Carey to go to bed and Andrew and I went with a large group of alumni band members to eat and visit. We had a fantastic time seeing everyone and talking about the past, present, and future. Time flew by and before we knew it we were out WAY past our bedtime.

Swaying with Daddy and Mr. Brian to the Tennessee Waltz

Anna Grace was not too happy about me leaving her with this huge dog!

Anna Grace still had a tight grip on me after the Smokey incident and would not let me put her down.

Finally got over it to sit in the cool Tennessee chairs
